Welcome to CC Candles! These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and services. By accessing or purchasing from our site, you agree to comply with these terms.

1. General Information

The general terms and conditions set forth below shall apply to all sales of goods by CC Candles and its partners, through the virtual store www.cc-candles.com to the Buyer and may be modified at any time by CC Candles without prior notice.

  • CC Candles specialize in handmade candles and resin jars.
  • We reserve the right to update, modify, or change these terms at any time.

The following terms shall mean:

  • Buyer – Any legal person or entity placing an order on the website.
  • User – Any legal person or entity registered on the Site, who, by completing the Account creation process, has agreed to the Site specific clauses in the Terms & Conditions section.
  • SellerCC Candles, headquartered in the UK.
  • Account – the section of the Site consisting of an e-mail address and a password that allows the Buyer to submit the Order and which contains information about the Buyer and the Buyer’s history on the Site (Orders, tax invoices, etc.). The User is responsible and will ensure that all information entered when creating the Account is correct, complete and up-to-date.
  • Goods – any product, including the documents and services mentioned in the Order, to be provided by the Seller to the Buyer. 
  • Order – A legally binding agreement between the Seller and Buyer. This is an electronic document that acts as a form of communication between Seller and Buyer, by which the Seller agrees to deliver the Goods and the Buyer agrees to receive these Goods and make payment accordingly.
  • Contract – an Order confirmed by the Seller.
  • Intellectual Property Rights – all intangible rights such as know-how, copyright and rights in kind, database rights, design rights, model rights, patents, trademarks and domain name registrations for any of the above.
  • Website – the domain www.cc-candles.com and its subdomains.
  • Review – a written evaluation by the Buyer of a Good or Service, an evaluation written based on his/her personal experience and saying whether or not the Good or Service complies with the specifications stated by the Seller.
  • Rating – a way of expressing the degree of satisfaction of a User/Buyer with a product. The rating is expressed in the form of stars, each Good being able to receive a score from one star to five stars. This degree of satisfaction will always be associated with the Review written by the User/Buyer on a Good or Service.
2. Terms and Conditions

The use of the website www.cc-candles.com implies acceptance of these Terms and Conditions by the user.

3. Contractual Documents

These Terms & Conditions, along with the Privacy Policy, Delivery & Returns Policy, and other applicable policies, govern all sales via the website. By placing an order, the Buyer agrees to communicate electronically (e-mail, telephone) with the Seller.

An Order consists of:

  • The order details, including delivery and billing terms.
  • These Terms & Conditions.

The Contract is formed when the Seller confirms the Order via email, and the dispatch notification marks its finalization. Unconfirmed orders do not constitute a Contract. Prices remain valid for 3 business days from order registration.

4. Terms and Conditions

By using this website, you agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not accept them, please refrain from using the site.

5. Online Sales Policy

All sales made via the website are subject to availability and acceptance by CC Candles.

Access to place an Order is allowed to any Buyer, but we reserve the right to refuse at our discretion any order and/or some of the accepted payment methods, if we consider that based on the User/Buyer’s conduct or activity on the Site, his/her actions could harm CC Candles in any way.

The Seller may publish on the Site information about Goods and/or Services and/or promotions practiced by him/her or by any other third party with whom CC Candles have concluded partnership contracts, within a certain period of time and within the limit of available stock.

In the case of online payments, the Seller is not held responsible for any additional costs incurred by the Buyer, including but not limited to currency conversion fees applied by the issuing bank of his card, if the currency of issue of the card differs from POUND. The Buyer is solely responsible for this action.

Seven days from the purchase of a Good or Service, the Buyer will be requested to register a Review related to the acquisition. The request will be sent to the email address registered by the Buyer in the Account.

6. Buyer’s Obligations

The Buyer agrees to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when placing an order, including delivery and billing details.
  • Update their account details as necessary for accurate invoice processing.
  • Ensure the safe receipt of the order and check the package’s integrity upon delivery. Any damages must be reported to the courier immediately.
  • Use the purchased products responsibly and in accordance with their intended purpose.
  • Refrain from reselling the products, as they are intended for personal use only.
  • Cover any return shipping costs if returning a product under the withdrawal policy.

Failure to comply with these obligations may result in order cancellations, delayed processing, or restrictions on future purchases.

7. Seller’s Obligations
  • Ensure product descriptions and prices are accurate.
  • Process orders in a timely manner.
  • Deliver purchased goods in accordance with the agreed-upon terms.

The information presented on the Seller’s website is for informational purposes only and may be modified by the Seller without prior notice.

8. Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights

All content, including images, text, and branding, such as descriptions, drawings, graphic and design elements that appear on the site, including but not limited to logos, stylized representations, commercial symbols, static images, dynamic images, text and/or multimedia content presented on the site, is the exclusive property of CC Candles and may not be used, copied or disclosed to a third party without permission of the owner.

9. Rights to the Content of the Site

Users may not reproduce, distribute, or exploit any content from the website without written consent from CC Candles.

All content on the website, including text, images, and design, belongs to CC Candles unless otherwise stated. Content may only be used for personal purposes. Any reproduction, distribution, or modification for commercial use requires prior written consent.

Exceptions:

  • Small excerpts (max. 400 characters) may be shared on non-commercial platforms, with proper attribution and a link to the original source.
  • Links to www.cc-candles.com are allowed if the source is clearly credited.

Users must respect all copyrights and intellectual property rights. CC Candles reserve the right to take legal action against violations. Requests to use content beyond personal use must be sent to info@cc-candles.com.

Users posting content on the site must ensure they do not infringe third-party rights. CC Candles are not liable for any such infringements.

We may run advertisements and promotions on the site at any time, without prior notice. CC Candles are not responsible for damages resulting from third-party advertisements.

10. Limitation of Liability

CC Candles shall not be liable for any indirect damages resulting from the use of the website or products purchased.

CC Candles make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of the website’s content but does not guarantee its completeness or reliability. Users acknowledge that any reliance on site content is at their own risk.

We are not liable for any losses, damages, or inability to use the site, including errors, interruptions, or inaccurate information. Users should report any copyright concerns to info@cc-candles.com.

CC Candles do not guarantee:

  • That the site content is fully complete or error-free.
  • The accuracy of user-submitted information.
  • That site services will be uninterrupted or free from defects.
  • The results obtained from using site information or services.

CC Candles are not responsible for damages resulting from third-party advertisements or links to external sites. Users agree to indemnify CC Candles against any claims or damages arising from misuse of the site.

In cases of force majeure (e.g., technical failures, internet disruptions, unauthorized access, etc.), CC Candles are not liable for any resulting damages or losses.

11. Subscription to Newsletters and Alerts

If case, by subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to receive promotional emails. You may unsubscribe at any time.

Given that access to the products offered through CC Candles website is achieved through an active account, we recommend that Users not disclose any personal elements to third parties, even if they claim to be contacting you on behalf of the site.

Also, in order to ensure a higher level of security, at the end of the visit to the site we recommend closing the browser window in which work was done or clicking on “Sign out”/”Log off” on the page visited.

13. Raising Order and Confirmation

Orders are confirmed upon payment processing. The Seller reserves the right to cancel any order due to unforeseen circumstances.

Placing an order is done by following these steps:

  1. Select the desired products and add them to the Shopping Cart, by clicking on the “Add to Cart” button
  2. If you want to complete the order, click on the “Place order” button
  3. After selecting the desired products, if you do not have an account on the website and do not want to create one, please select “Complete order as a Guest” and enter your email address to confirm receipt of the order
  4. Enter the billing details
  5. Enter the delivery address
  6. Choose the payment method
  7. Delivery is made by courier – shipping fee will be communicated once the delivery address is mentioned
  8. Check the field “I have read and agree to the terms and conditions of the website”
  9. Place the order by clicking on the “Place order” button.

By completing the Order, the Buyer agrees that all data provided by him, necessary for the purchase process, are correct, complete and true at the date of placing the Order.

By completing the Order, the Buyer agrees that the Seller may contact him by any means agreed upon by the Seller, in any situation in which it is necessary to contact the Buyer.

The Seller may cancel the Order placed by the Buyer, following a prior notification addressed to the Buyer, without any subsequent obligation of either party to the other or without either party being able to claim damages from the other in the following cases:

  • Non-acceptance of the transaction by the issuing bank of the Buyer’s card, in the case of online payment;
  • Invalidation of the transaction by the card processor approved by CC Candles, in the case of online payment;
  • The data necessary for invoicing and delivery of the Goods provided by the Buyer are incomplete and/or incorrect;
  • The buyer did not make the payment for the orders with the “Bank Transfer” payment method on time.
14. Billing and Payments

All transactions must be completed using the payment methods provided. We ensure secure transactions but disclaim liability for third-party payment processing issues.

As CC Candles are VAT-free, all displayed prices include zero VAT per applicable law.

The price, payment method, and terms are specified in the Order. The Seller will issue an invoice, and the Buyer must provide accurate details for invoicing.

The Buyer agrees to receive invoices electronically via email and can access them in their Account under “Orders.” Buyers should ensure their Account details are updated for proper invoice communication. If an invoice is unavailable for over 48 hours, please contact info@cc-candles.com.

CC Candles do not store or access payment card details; these are managed by an authorized payment processor, disclosed before data entry.

15. Product Information and Prices

Prices and descriptions are subject to change. We strive to ensure accuracy but do not guarantee that all product details will always be error-free.

The prices displayed on the website are in POUNDS and they are valid at the time of accessing the page where they are displayed, the Seller reserving the right to modify them at any time, without any prior notice or notification.

By placing an order on the Site, you irrevocably undertake to pay the value of the ordered products. In this regard, we inform you that, as part of the procedure for registering your orders, you will be redirected to the websites of our collaborators in order to collect the data necessary for payment.

The availability of a Good will be displayed on the Site as follows:

  • “in stock” – available products in CC Candles stock
  • “out of stock” – The Good is no longer available in CC Candles stock.
  • “on backorder” – specifically refers at customized gifts.
16. Payment Methods

We accept payments via:

  • PayPal
  • Debit/Credit Cards (VISA/Mastercard)

The security of your information is guaranteed by the fact that PayPal does not store your confidential card data, but sends it encrypted over a secure connection to the processing bank.

17. Liabilities
  • CC Candles are not liable for damages caused by misuse of products. The Buyer is responsible for following product usage instructions.
  • The Seller ships Goods and Services via door-to-door courier and transfers risk upon handover to the courier.
  • The Seller ensures proper packaging and includes all necessary documents.
  • The Seller is not liable for damages after delivery, except when caused by subcontractors or partners failing contractual obligations.
  • Product descriptions and images on the website are for reference only; actual products may vary without prior notice.
  • Product availability is not guaranteed. The Seller may cancel or partially fulfil orders if items are unavailable.
  • If pricing or product details are incorrect due to database errors, the Seller may cancel the order and notify the Buyer before delivery.
  • The Seller is not responsible for site failures or inaccessible links.
  • The Seller’s maximum liability for non-delivery or improper delivery is limited to the amount paid by the Buyer.
  • Products are for personal use only; resale is prohibited by law.
18. Product Delivery Policy
  • Orders are dispatched within 5-10 working days once the order is confirmed, or longer for customized orders. Delivery times depend on the shipping provider.
  • Orders are shipped in secure packaging, with transport responsibility falling on the carrier per local laws.
  • Check package integrity upon receipt. If damaged, request a damage report from the courier immediately; later claims will not be accepted.
  • Products are made once the order is received and fully accepted, with production and delivery taking up to 15 working days from order processing or longer, depending on their complexity.
  • Orders are processed Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:00. Orders placed outside these hours, on weekends, or during holidays may experience delays.
  • If undeliverable, the courier will attempt to contact you. If unsuccessful, packages remain with the courier for 7 days before being returned.
  • Track and cancel orders in your customer account under “Orders.” Refunds for cancelled card transactions are processed by the issuing bank within 1-30 days.
  • We are not liable for delays, damage, or non-delivery due to circumstances beyond our control, such as road blockages, severe weather, natural disasters, strikes, or supplier failures.
  • Delivery is available only within England.
19. Delivery Rates
  • We ship within United Kingdom using UK shipping carriers.
  • Shipping times vary depending on location. Estimated delivery is 3-5 business days since order processing.
  • We are not responsible for delays caused by the courier or customs.

Shipping fees vary based on location and package weight, and are displayed at checkout.

For deliveries over £250, shipping is free.

20. Transfer of Ownership

Ownership transfers to the Buyer upon full payment and delivery of the product.

21. Return Policy
  • Due to the handmade nature of our products, we accept returns/exchanges only for damaged or defective items (evidence required).
  • To request a return, contact us within 7 days of receiving your order.
  • Refunds are processed within 14 days after approval.

Buyers may return unused products in original packaging within 7 days of receipt. Return shipping costs are the Buyer’s responsibility. Please see Delivery & Returns Policy.

The Buyer may return a product or cancel a service within 7 calendar days of receiving it, provided there is a valid reason with supporting evidence. To request a return, the Buyer must complete the online return form at [return form link] or send an email with a clear statement of withdrawal.

Returned products must be in their original condition, ideally in the original packaging, with all accessories, labels, gifts, and accompanying documents. The Buyer may inspect the product as they would in a physical store (e.g., opening a candle to check the scent but not lighting it).

If the Order was prepaid, the Seller will refund the amount within 14 days of receiving the returned product. Refunds are processed:

  • For card payments: refunded to the original card within 5-30 days.
  • Refunds are issued to a valid bank account in the Buyer’s name.

The Seller may delay the refund until receiving the product or proof of shipment. If a product is returned damaged, incomplete, or unsellable as new, the Seller may:

  • Charge a restoration fee or a 5%-50% depreciation fee based on the product’s condition.
  • Offer to reship the product at the Buyer’s expense.

If the Seller cannot fulfil an order, the Buyer will be informed. A full refund (including shipping) will be processed within 7 days, using the original payment method.

22. Goods for Which the Right of Withdrawal is Not Ensured

Custom-made or personalized items cannot be returned. Please note these products are created according to your specified configurations, so they cannot be exchanged or returned.

We also reserve the right to refuse to accept returns in the event of abuse (repeated returns).

23. Safety & Usage Disclaimer

Please follow our Product Safety & Care Guidance.

  • Our candles are for indoor use only and should never be left unattended while burning.
  • Keep candles away from children, pets, and flammable objects.
  • We are not responsible for damages resulting from improper use of our products.
24. Processing of Personal Data

25. Reviews and Ratings

Users may leave reviews and ratings according to clause no.1; however, CC Candles reserve the right to remove content deemed inappropriate or misleading.

Users/Buyers who post Reviews to which they attach photo files will comply with the following rules:

  • the uploaded files will contain images that refer to the product or service for which the Review is written, ensuring that the uploaded files respect copyright;
  • the uploaded files will not contain violence, adult content, licentious language or other content that offends a person/group based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, sexual orientation or political opinion.

If the Seller finds a repeated violation of the Terms & Conditions, it reserves the right to suspend the User/Buyer’s ability to post a Review in the “Reviews” section.

26. Complaints Resolution Procedure

Complaints must be submitted via email. We aim to resolve disputes amicably within a reasonable timeframe.

Any complaint related to accessing, using, registering on CC Candles website, placing an order and aspects related to the order placed, will be communicated to us directly, by email at info@cc-candles.com.

Your complaint will be recorded and you will receive a written response, at the email address mentioned when you brought your complaint to our attention, within a maximum of 30 calendar days.

The client declares that he agrees not to make these complaints public (on social networks, media, discussions at private parties or in any other way) subject to bearing the damages caused for the image damage brought to CC Candles by these actions.

27. Force Majeure

CC Candles shall not be liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our control.

Force majeure is an unforeseeable event, beyond the control of the parties and which cannot be avoided.

28. Applicable Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by UK law. Any disputes arising between CC Candles and users/clients/buyers will be resolved amicably or, if this is not possible, the disputes will be resolved by the competent UK courts.

29. Special Offers

Promotions and discounts are subject to specific terms and availability. CC Candles reserve the right to modify or cancel offers at any time. Currently, CC Candles do not have any ongoing campaigns with special offers.

30. Modification of Terms and Conditions

CC Candles reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page and take immediate effect upon publication. By continuing to use the site after changes are made, Users fully accept them. If a User does not agree with the modifications, they must stop using the site and its services immediately.
